The water-resistant shell handles drizzle and wind without feeling stiff or plasticky. The sherpa-lined hood stays exactly where you put it. The two-way zip lets you open the bottom when you sit down without taking the whole coat off. You didn't know you needed that until the first time you have it. Now every other coat feels unfinished.
